Little voices, Big Potential - We see you.

Our Approach

Our approach to therapy is the same for each client no matter what the difficulty is: we meet the child where they are at and gently move them in the direction of their goals.

All children receiving speech therapy from a Speech Boom therapist will first be seen and understood. Being seen and understood allows us to help them develop essential language skills.

What does this mean? It means we start with what the child is currently motivated to engage with. What skills and strengths do they possess? What may be holding them back from communicating more?

Why are language skills so vital? Because they empower children to communicate their needs and have those needs met.

Being misunderstood can be frustrating for both children and parents. Speech and language therapists conduct holistic assessments to determine the underlying reason/s why your child is having trouble talking.

The sooner a speech issue is identified, the sooner the child can receive treatment, the better the outcome.

Meet Your Therapist

This virtual meeting provides an opportunity for parents to speak with a therapist openly without little ears hearing.  Together we will agree the best course of action for your situation.  A link to our calendly page will be sent to book the assessment.  This ranges from a baseline assessment/initial consultation to a full specialist diagnostic assessment.

Summary & Goals

A written report, therapy plan and goals are provided.  The goals are derived from the information gathered from parents and from the face to face assessment.

And the progression

Weekly face to face therapy will commence. Progress is measured against the goals set at the beginning of therapy.

Therapy is planned with your child in mind, we have a wide range of toys, games and materials that we use to engage with your child. The therapy goals are embedded in play. We pursue the highest standard of Speech and Language Therapy to make talking easier for everyone. We can’t wait to get started!
